Club Coins UK was established following a career in the British Army where the owner, Tom Newey, saw coins being used on operations around the World.

Since its inception, Club Coins UK have taken on a wide variety of projects including aviation enthusiast clubs, flying clubs, charities and large sporting events. This list is growing as more and more uses for our coins are discovered!

The Brief

Our brief was to turn an existing website with basic PayPal functionalities and transform it into a full ecommerce site with; a secure gateway for accepting card payments, having online user accounts for regular customers and include the ability to order multiple products through an easy cart/checkout process. On top of this Tom at Club Coins UK, wanted to take full control of updating his own content and managing orders in a streamlined manner upon completion.

Before we started Tom saw potential challenges that could effect the way Club Coins UK operates. One of these challenges being the transfer of the domain and his emails, including all of the email history.

After reviewing over the current Club Coins UK website and Tom’s initial brief and concerns, we was able to identify the correct processes and areas that are due to be improved for a better user experience. With our advice and initial designs Tom was keen to progress and take his website to the next level. “This year I decided that I was going to make the step up to a full ecommerce website. Around this time, I was made aware of Tall Zebra Designs and the work of their website designer, Alex.

An initial phone call was arranged for Alex to review through my current website and fully understand my specific needs and requirements in a new site.
