The Brief

Our brief was to create a new website for Emerson to enhance the user experience and make it easier to hire and book online. The website came in hand with a new branding project in order to modernise the company throughout. Our process was simple; listen to the clients requirements, review the current website and branding, analyse the website traffic and user journey, conduct thorough research into the industry and finally to see the latest design trends and technologies used that can better enhance the new website.

The Outcome

Logo Design – The new Emerson logo has been stripped back to reflect their core products of cranes. The three lines symbolise the crane booms whilst also highlighting a size variation within the fleet.

Brand Guidelines – For this full brand package, we included the guidelines in order to set the rules for their brand moving forward. Included in the guidelines are; the use of logo, colours, typography, vehicle liveries, promotional items, stationary, flyers, photos, videos and clothing.

Internal Documents – To roll out the new brand we created all new internal documents to replace current documents that may hold the old brand. The internal documents included; business cards, letterheads, meeting agendas, ID cards, quotes, invoices and a powerpoint template.

Website – After reviewing over future developments within the company we have built the new website on an easy to use CMS system so it can eventually be managed in-house. To enhance user journey we also created a simple two click rule so that all primary products can easily be selected and enquired in two clicks. This will reduce the drop offs and increase the online conversions.
